They forget that we are also Americans, and we are also crazy motherfuckers, not just them. Remember, we had this fight before, and they got their asses kicked. Liberals showed conservatives who their daddy was at the civil war.
My family is from kentucky, the only undecided state, but Lincoln, being born in Kentucky fought his ass off to make sure it didn't go to the south. My family lived in the Appalachian mountains, hated slave owners, were poor farmers, and killed every confederate that attempted to travel north through their lands.
Their ancestors fought the British. For me, this is a family tradition, bring it mutherfuckers.
Oh, and of course I had a grandfather fight in WW2, but he was killing in Asia, not Germany, he was marine. So, linage of crazy white boys.

Minnesota still has a Confederate battle flag that they took from a Virginia battalion on display. Every few years Virginia formally asks for it back and Minnesota's response is very polite, "We took it in battle against traitors. If you want it back you're going to have to come pry it out of our cold dead hands"

They don't understand that while we don't have the whole visiting culture that they have (had? has the modern day nonsense stopped it?) down South, that doesn't mean we won't help a stranger. On the contrary, we'll help total strangers on the road who are having trouble with the weather, because winter is the great equalizer.
Except ICE. We won't help confirmed bastards. They can fall on their ass and get road rash on their palms. Slip into a ditch and walk-of-shame to their next ride. ICE also don't understand how much we have to hate a person, to deny them basic winter assistance. Heck, if there were a kind outsider in need, lots of us would probably have a pair of mittens to spare for them.

In MAGA world kindness is weakness. Their whole worldview is sociopathic. Decent people know how hard it can be to be kind, generous, and unselfish. We know that it is much more difficult to consider that we share this world with others and others deserve the same considerations as ourselves. That we are a part of and not above and we behave accordingly because we know this is how you build a healthy society.
They arent interested in a healthy society. They want to enrich themselves at the cost of all else. There are no guiding principals, no philisophical framework that cant be destroyed by a 5th grader with any sense. Thats why they lie and gaslight so much. They have to. They eat their own constantly, brag about hurting vulnerable people and murdering puppies. They follow leaders that exploit them not because they beilieve in anything but because they hope they too will be on the gravy train someday.
They are going to learn the bad way how hard "nice" people go when you seriously threaten their children, threaten what we've worked so hard to build. Threaten the idea that strength is our ability to come together and create, when all they think of is destruction.
They are going to get a very, very rude lesson in what it means to protect kindness.

u/SadnessOutOfContext 7h ago
Classic mistake of "kindness for weakness". Compounded by them seeking out left-leaning areas with significant working immigrant populations who are generally liked and appreciated by the communities at large.
Further compounded, doubtless, by the AI models they're using in at least some cases to choose where to show up.
And then they further pissed off the communities generally by shooting and killing multiple white people on exceptionally thin justifications.
They'll no doubt double down on the dumb and the violence. They also seem to have made the mistake of assuming that Minnesota and Illinois lefties can be assumed to neither own nor have familiarity with guns and/or violence.
IOW, poorly calculated from the very top downwards, not that it's particularly surprising.
The whole situation has potential for significant escalation, which is also not guaranteed to go the way the WH expects it to go. They're counting on local LE failing to do their jobs, local courts failing to do their jobs, and local citizens rolling over and taking it. That could prove to be a grievous error in the medium term.
I'm not advocating a strategy here, in any way. I do think that anecdotal evidence suggests a meaningful number of modern progressives are sick of the attitudes of nineties "liberals" and the political establishment at large, who share a love for strongly worded letters and statements with little follow-up.
DC's stupid strategic decisions (or lack of) are likely to change the calculus of how (and how permanently) the problem can be solved.
Just some general thoughts, of course. I'm hardly qualified as a political strategist, though I see opportunities and paths forward that could stop the abuses and murder quickly.

Why not target all the lower border states? It's pure intimidation of the blue states.
As I understand it.. Crossing illegal is a felony, staying here undocumented isn't. It's a civil crime like a parking ticket or jaywalking. That's why we have separate courts for immigration.
If our immigration system made sense there would be a lot less undocumented people. It takes 10 years sometimes and thousands of dollars for a lawyer, bc a normal person can't understand the paperwork.
You're telling me the IRS knows every dollar I've made since 1997, but the govt can't process immigration forms?

Very, very few cults of personality last beyond the loss of their leader.
Everyone in Maga thinks they're going to be the next Trump, but none of them have been trained to manipulate audiences by Vince McMahon and had a TV Show to build their character up as an authority figure.
So long as Joe Rogan doesn't run, Maga will crumble when Trump dies. But its definitely gonna suck until he does.
Of course, eventually it all comes around again. But that usually takes a few decades.

I wish I could be optimistic. I feel this entire thing is engineered to completely destroy accountability and lead to 1984 levels of control.
Iran has their entire country on the streets and they can't overturn the regime. We'll never be able to do it.
Once lost, it cannot be regained. Not in an era of weapons like we have and drones and militarized police in the millions, surveillance powered by AI and a tracking device in every pocket with your entire life available via a Google search and facial recognition cameras hanging off everyone's doorbells. 🤷♀️
It's not the world revolutions occurred in. Those days are over.
Once we lose it this time, it's gone until someone eventually blasts us into the stone age or all the water dries up.
Yeah I guess my optimism is dead. I would love to resurrect it but 🤷♀️
56
u/BaconPancake77 11h ago edited 11h ago
Revolutions have occurred since the dawn of time, they're not dependent on technology or military strength. There will always be more people than police, more bystanders than soldiers. In some places, by a factor of millions.
They have their guns, their drones, whatever heavy weapons they think makes them safe. But who makes the bullets? Who programs these flying machines? We do, the citizens in the factories. Who makes the food these tyrants grow fat on? We do, the farmers in the fields.
It is too early to say that Iran cannot overturn their regime. Far too early. The fight doesn't end when they put down a thousand rebels. The fight ends when two thousand refuse to stand up. The only thing that ends the fight is when we the people say it ends. Because the government, the army, they have no such command over the homeland. They cannot simply order the resistance to end.
ETA: Every dictator and emperor has wanted to rule forever, or at the least to make an empire to last forever. You outnumber the entire US military and law enforcement agencies 1000 to 1. You’re a country with more guns than people. Do not be afraid. Even if the United States weaponizes weapons of Mass Destruction against its own citizens there two outcomes. Either they kill so many of us there’s no one left to consider the US a country anymore and the ruling class gets slaughtered by enemy nations, or we survive and overpower them. Either way, we win. Live or die, we win. Live or die, they always fail. They need you more than you need them.
Those greedy shitfucks are only worth anything with our labor. They only matter because of us. Without the people, without our work, without our blood, without our sweat, without our willpower they ARE NOTHING WITHOUT US.

Elections WILL happen, and even with the inevitable interference and fuckery, they will lose bigly. This isn't over and our fate is far from sealed, pessimism and apathy will do as much damage as the regime if we let it influence us.

I think this is self destructive for the fascists. When they do LA or Chicago, they can control the narrative on Fox News. Very hard to spin that yarn.

I have multiple takes on this.
One could argue it was in 1865. After the civil war ended, we didn’t prosecute and execute the traitors. Many who deflected gingerly stroller right back into DC like nothing had happened. This let racism continue to grow and flourish like a cancer.
2010 after the Citizens United decision. That decision took one foot out of the door of democracy.
2013 took the other foot out in Shelby County v Holder where SCOTUS legalized gerrymandering, saying that racism is solved. We legally ceased to be a functioning democracy at this point.
And of course, 2021, when the nation down played an open coup attempt and none of the orchestrators were ever held accountable, just the useful idiots (who are now pardoned and working for ICE).
If I went into a bank and pretended my hand was a gun and got arrested, they wouldn’t see my hand and say I didn’t really try to rob the bank. Yet when he staged a wildly incompetent coup, the media and most politicians shrugged it off.

All you really need to know about the ICE leadership “brain trust” is that they issue and force their agents to wear desert camo in Minneapolis, Minnesota in January.

They probably saw it in CoD and thought it looked cool, so they ordered it.

WTF are the doing with a PEQ-15 on their rifles that they’re holding up in the air like they’ve never held a rifle before? Are they going to laze that woman’s house for an air strike?
This is tactical LARPing.

You'll also notice they're stacked up directly in-line with the fatal funnel. because they don't actually know wtf they are doing from a tactical engagement perspective.
Basically airsoft kids with real guns here.

Why are there multiple assault rifles “at the ready”? There appears to be no threat to ICE safety in front of them. Yet 2 cocksuckers have them facing one open door. Nobody looking behind them for a threat on their six. It would be comical if it wasn’t so terrifying.

Stop answering the door. Don't respond when the door bell is pushed. Never open the door. It doesn't matter what their reasoning is, don't interact at all with police, ICE, or anyone else in authority.

They were still standing on business to not open the door. The fact they didn’t may well be what gets him out, since it made what would have been a legal arrest if they had let the agents in an unconstitutional arrest. So their failure to open the door to the agents may well have been the correct decision.

u/vrphotosguy55 12h ago

u/Reasonable_Pizza2401 12h ago
Are you serious? They used a battering ram to open the door you see in this picture.
12
u/Bigstar976 12h ago
Ask to see their judicial warrant with your name on it and a judge’s signature through your window. And since they won’t have one don’t open.
29
u/Heavy_Surround779 12h ago
Yeah she did that too. They bashed her door down with a battering ram and they didn’t give a fuck about the warrant

I’m truly amazed at the people still saying “they can’t do that, it’s illegal”
What is going to take for people to realize when it comes to ICE, you no longer have rights.

Prepare for war. Stop complaining and organize. This isn’t some far away issue. These moments work off of momentum. Get on the same page with your loved ones and people you can trust. Make a plan. Buy guns and train. Placards and pithy nicknames for the people who are actively making their way towards a full-on takeover of our home are useless. Hakeem Jeffries and chuck schumer are representative of how facile our leadership will be when the moment comes. They won’t do anything.

I would love to see them go after real criminals. Say one of the Mexican gangs or the Bloods or Crips. I know it won’t happen because they are terrified of real criminals.

The attitude presented in the title of this post is a part of the problem. We’re not cooked. We all have to work together to fix this and saying stuff like that certainly isn’t going to help.

This mental and moral sickness is spreading, including here in Canada. Certain parties are simplifying complex subjects and people are falling for it. It is the old “us vs them”. People are being led to believe that the “them” is people that look differently and that all the rest are part of the “us”. The reality is that the “us” is the 0.5%, and everyone else is part of the “them”. But the 0.5% keeps the people divided, feeding them this illusion that some of them are part of “us”.
People have lost the capacity to reason objectively too. Someone can be pro-legal immigration and anti-illegal immigration. Someone can be pro lgtbqi2+ but have doubts on trans athletes. Someone can be pro-early term abortions but anti late-term abortions. Who represents these people? Nowadays, very few.
Bring back the rainbow coalition, people of all colors and walks of life need to organize.

You know these people are just cosplaying soldier. There is no reason for them to have infrared target designators strapped onto the end of those rifles. Not a single one has any type on night vision device that’s required to see those infrared beams. Guaranteed they’ve never used them, don’t know how to use them and never zeroed, adjusted the sight to the rifle and the rifle to the shooter. It’s been pointed out that the promised $50k bonuses do not take effect until after five years and then only payable in increments. Our white veteran men need to organize and get between these goons and the people. We have to be the front lines I this fight.

"Liberals are so overdramatic. You keep saying what's going to happen but nothing fascist is actually happening."
Cool, now it's happening. Men in full combat gear with loyalty to one man are going door to door and kidnapping people, many of whom are U.S citizens. They've executed citizens without due process and with full support of the government without investigation.
What now?

u/ChronicallyZanny 4h ago
ICE has no right to have “POLICE” on any of their gear. They are not police. They are domestic terrorists at best.
